GEMMA

We adopted Gemma a year ago and I just wanted to e-mail to let you know how she was getting on and to send you some photos of her.

She is very much part of the family and settled in very well to life with us.  She now weighs 27kg and loves her food.  We had a little boy last December and she has been brilliant with him and he adores her and is learning how to stroke her gently.  Gemma loves the fact he has started solid food as she gets to hoover up any mess under the highchair!  Diane picked Gemma out as being perfect for our circumstances and she was totally right and we are very grateful to her!

Gemma loves her walks and expects two a day as she loves being out meeting people-she gets a treat at the greengrocers on the way past!  We are still trying to sell our house and cant wait to get a garden for her and our son rather than a back yard but my parents have a big garden and she runs madly round that-she also caught a wild rabbit there a few weeks ago so is in my father's good books as they were eating his roses!  She has a very similar personality to my parents Labrador who died last summer and they love her and she goes to stay with them for her holidays. 
 
Once we have a bigger house I hope I can persuade my husband to get another dog!
