BADGER & MOUSE - RE-UNITED
Back in the 'good old days', well, four years ago or so, there were two greyhounds who lived together in Diane and Geordie's Kennel in South Charlton. Then, one fine day, a loving family met them, took them for a walk, and - to cut a long story short, adopted them.
But, alas, as these stories often seem go, tragedy struck; the family had to give up their two lovely dogs. Badger went to a new home in the country, to live with a new family north of the Gate, Heighley Gate Garden Centre that is!
The Mouse went to a young man in North Tyneside.
But, again, as with the best tales of mystery and intrigue, Mouse found herself in need of further re-homing; step in the gallant Adrian and Hazel, part of the rescue and rehabilitation team (along with their greyhounds, Suki and Rosie!) who took the slightly bewildered Mouse into their home, while Diane, Susanne and team sought out a new home for her...
...And out of the Blue! Badger's family agreed to take Mouse, having previously had to loose their previous lady greyhound.
So the sweet Mouse was taken out into the countryside to be re-united with her former cell-mate (oops, that should read kennel-mate), the redoubtable Badger.
Apart from an initial slight growl from the Mouse (quiet as? - No!), they re-bonded almost straight away.
Mouse is now happily re-united with Badger and they are currently living happily together in beautiful rural Northumberland.
